The company Blood tec was founded to provide extensive expertise on the determination and interpretation of blood volumes and haemoglobin mass.
The founders Prof. Schmidt and Dr. Prommer developed and patented the “optimized method to determine blood volume” (Schmidt & Prommer 2005; Prommer and Schmidt 2007) and have more than 10 years of experience.
Bood tec offers:
- equipment and knowledge for scientists who are interested in setting up the method in their laboratory
- blood volume measurements in the laboratory in Bayreuth or wherever it is required
- collaboration with medical and sports-related scientists who are interested in conducting studies on blood volume or total haemoglobin mass

The team
Behind Blood tec is the team of Prof. Dr. Dr. Walter Schmidt and Dr. Nicole Prommer who optimized the method to determine blood volumes and haemoglobin mass.
